Fluorochem x Novecal: Innovative Catalysts, Ligands & Calixarenes Now Available
Fluorochem now distribute a range of Novecat® catalysts, alongside Novecal ligands and calixarene scaffolds which can be used not only in catalysis, with applications in molecular sensing, ion extraction, drug delivery and nanotechnology.

As an established name in novel catalyst development, with strong expertise in organometallic chemistry, Novecal are adept at designing and producing unique catalysts and ligands. These are utilised to their full potential, and methods such as high-throughput experimentation and solid-support immobilisation of catalysts used to optimise all aspects of catalytic processes, including purification, cost and leaching reduction. The latter can be addressed through the unique design of the Novecat® heterogeneous catalysts, which reduce material costs and operation times, while reducing solvent use and waste treatment.

Experienced in perfecting formulations and coatings: researchers at Novecal are experts in handling metal oxides and metal particles, creating dispersions using synthetic and natural ligands with ideal viscosities and concentrations. They perform further formulation services, offering insights into utilising greener chemical substitutes and improving performance of materials and coatings with their expertise in oleochemistry, crosslinking and curing for gelation of formulations.
Novecal also provides extensive synthesis, development and production support, fulfilling challenging organic chemistry projects. Careful design, route scouting and evaluation of synthetic routes to simple and complex molecules allows to provide target products on scales up to 1 kg, with optimised yield and cost. This is backed by excellent skills in purification and analysis, with complete analytical capacities for identification and validation of the structures.
